Learning alongside our suppliers is also part of engineering

Last Thursday, a group of engineers from our Mechanical Piping team made a technical visit to BFS Chile, a supplier of valves and hydraulic control devices, as part of our Internal Key Supplier Visits Policy.

The activity brought together 15 Keypro professionals, including guests from the Hydraulics team, and became a valuable opportunity for learning and technical exchange. The day combined a theoretical presentation with a hands-on lab demonstration, allowing the team to go deeper into design criteria, equipment selection and real applications used in mining projects.

Beyond design

Experiences like this reinforce one of Keypro’s core values as a company: the continuous development of technical knowledge. For our engineers, testing solutions directly with specialists and understanding how systems behave beyond design is key to strengthening professional judgment and improving decision-making on projects.

The visit was attended by Christian Cortés, Head of Mechanical Piping, and coordinated by engineer Nicolás Soto, as part of Keypro’s commitment to cross-discipline collaboration and the continuous improvement of our internal capabilities.
