Corfo certifies Keypro Ingeniería R&D project to develop new technology solutions for mining

The initiative, under Chile’s R&D Tax Incentive Law, will bring digital transformation and artificial intelligence tools to optimize the execution of mining engineering projects.

Chile’s Production Development Corporation (Corfo) certified a research and development (R&D) project by Keypro Ingeniería under the R&D Tax Incentive Law (Ley I+D), which promotes private investment in innovation and technological development.

Technically evaluated by Corfo and approved by the InnovaChile Committee, the initiative is Keypro Ingeniería’s first project to access this mechanism. Self-funded, it involves developing new tools to optimize the execution of mining engineering projects, improve technical traceability and reduce lead times in critical stages, incorporating digital transformation and artificial intelligence capabilities.

The project is part of Keypro’s ongoing work to strengthen its innovation capabilities and integrate new digital tools into its engineering expertise, in order to respond to the challenges of a constantly evolving mining industry.
