Engineering designed in the office… and validated in the field

Culture and Talent
Flavio Díaz, Keypro Ingeniería

Flavio Díaz is a mechanical civil engineer from Universidad de Santiago de Chile and has been building his career at Keypro for five years. He joined straight out of university, eager to learn, and today he works as a Project Engineer, taking part in highly complex solutions for the mining industry.

His growth has been steady. Over time he has gained autonomy and technical judgment, leading significant parts of the initiatives he takes part in. His work ranges from reviewing background information to producing technical documentation —data sheets, calculation notes, design criteria and requisitions— connecting design directly with the procurement, construction and operation stages.

For Flavio, the field makes the difference. Technical visits and construction support make it possible to understand what does not always show up on the drawings, resolve unforeseen issues and strengthen the quality of the solutions. That hands-on experience is key to well-executed engineering.

Beyond the technical side, he highlights the atmosphere at Keypro: close, collaborative and flat, where you can learn, ask questions and grow professionally.

Outside work, Flavio finds balance in simple things: time with his son, sport, cycling and disconnecting in nature, especially near the river or in Cajón del Maipo. Always with his inseparable cocker spaniel, an important part of his daily life.

At Keypro we believe that technical excellence is built by combining knowledge, field experience and a culture that pushes people forward. Stories like Flavio’s reflect the way we do engineering: rigorous, close and connected with reality.
